Chapter 1
Christ shall bring joy to the people of Egypt; for He shall come to them in a later era to take revenge and destroy the Devil, who wronged the kind and innocent, who misled people, and who hates the work of his Creator.
He shall take revenge and destroy him. He shall turn the Devil's lordship into misery and humiliation, for he has been arrogant in his reasoning.
He shall turn his lordship into humiliation; for the Devil said, "I will enter the midst of the sea, I will ascend to Heaven, I will look into the depths, and I will seize the children of Adam like bird chicks. Who is higher than I?"
"Because I influenced their minds to distance them from the straight Law of the Lord—as I will grow stronger over those who live in this world unless they do the Lord’s Will—there is no one who will remove me from my authority," he said.
"For I will be the reason they return to a path that is smooth for going to Gehenna (Hell) with me."
"Those who loved Him and kept His Law hate me for this reason; but those who departed from the Law of their Lord and who erred will come to me, love me, and keep my oath. As I make their reasoning evil and change their thoughts so they do not return to their Creator, they will do my bidding as I commanded them."
"And when I show them the money of this world, I will mislead their reasoning from the straight Law; and when I show them beautiful and attractive daughters, I will distance them from the straight Law by these."
"And when I show them shining Indian jewels, silver, and gold, I will distance them by these also from the straight Law, so they might return to my work."
"And when I show them fine clothes, red silk, white silk, and linens, I will distance them by these also from the straight Law and return them to my thoughts. When I multiply their money and livestock like sand and show it to them, by this also I will return them to my work."
"And when I show them jealousy born of arrogance over women, and show them anger and quarrels, by all this I will return them to my work."
"And when I show them signs, I will dwell in the minds of their companions; I will place a sign for each individual in their own reasoning, showing them signs in words to mislead them."
"And for those in whom I dwell, I will show them signs—whether it be in the movement of the stars, the passing of clouds, the flickering of fire, or the cries of beasts and birds. As they are my dwellings, I will place signs in their reasoning through all these things."
"They will speak and give signs to their companions; and just as those naysayers told them, I will go before them and be a sign for them."
"I will perform these signs for them so that those who examine them might be misled; they will pay wages to magicians and tell their companions, 'There are no experts like so-and-so, for whom things happen exactly as they spoke; they know prophecy, they distinguish good from evil, and all things happen according to their word.'"
"I will be joyful when they speak this, so that those who perish and err because of me might increase and the children of Adam might perish. For the Lord humbled me from my rank because of their father, Adam, when I said, 'I will not bow to Adam, who is lower than me.'"
"And I will take to destruction all his children who live firmly under my command. I have an oath from the Lord who created me, that all persons whom I mislead might descend to Gehenna with me."
"When He increased His anger against me, and when He commanded that I be bound and cast into Gehenna—when my Creator commanded this—I interceded with my Lord. I pleaded before Him, saying: 'As You are angry with me, and as You have admonished me by Your punishment and chastised me by Your wrath—Lord, my Lord, grant me a delay that I might speak one thing before You.'"
"And my Lord answered me, saying: 'Speak, I will hear you.' At that time I began my plea to Him, saying: 'Since I was humbled from my rank, let the people whom I mislead be like me in Gehenna, where I will receive tribulation.'"
"'And let those who refused me, who did not err because of me, who did not keep my command, but who did Your Command, fulfilled Your Will, and kept Your Word—let them belong to Your Lordship. Since they did not err as I misled them, having refused what I taught them—when You loved me, let them now take the crown You once gave to me.'"
"'Give them the crown of the authorities called Satans who were sent with me; seat them upon my throne at Your Right hand, which became a wilderness because of me and my hosts.'"
"'And let them praise You as You desire; let them be like my hosts and like me. Because You hated me and loved those created from ashes and earth—as my authority has perished and theirs has been raised high—let them praise You as You desire.'"
"My Lord answered me, saying: 'As you have misled them while they saw and heard, if you misled them without them loving My Order, let them belong to you according to your will and your word.'"
"'If they leave the Word of the Books and My Command and come to you—and if you mislead them while their destruction also saddens Me—let them receive tribulation in Gehenna just like you,' He told me."
"You shall receive tribulation in Gehenna until eternity; you shall have no exit from Gehenna forever—neither those whom you misled, nor you."
