Chapter 6
Think of the day when you will die—when your soul is separated from your flesh, when you leave your money for another, and when you go on the path you do not know. Think of the tribulation that shall come upon you.
The demons that will receive you are evil; their features are ugly and they are frightening in their appearance. They won't listen to your words, and you won't listen to theirs.
Because you did not do the Will of your Creator, they will not hear you in your plea when you beg them; for this reason, they will completely terrify you.
But those who fulfilled the Lord’s Will have no fear, for the demons fear them. However, demons shall ridicule the souls of sinners.
But the souls of kind people shall be joyful with the Angels in happiness; they shall be made joyful because they scorned this world. But evil angels shall receive the souls of sinners.
Angels of mercy shall receive the souls of kind and righteous people; they are sent from the Lord to comfort the souls of the righteous. Just as evil angels are sent from the Devil to ridicule the souls of sinners, demons shall receive the souls of sinners.
O sinners, woe to you! Weep for yourselves before the day of your death arrives—before the time you reach the Lord.
Enter into repentance in your current era before your time passes, so that you might live in joy and happiness without tribulation or disease. Since your time will not return once you have died, weep now.
Lest you follow a vain path that distances you from the Lord, let love be lavished in your self-criticism, so that gluttony and excessive pleasure are not found in you. As a body that is sated without measure will not think of the Lord’s Name, the Devil's wealth shall dwell in it. Since the Holy Spirit won't dwell in such a person, let not those excessive pleasures be found in you.
As Moses spoke: "Jacob ate and was satisfied; he grew fat, tall, and wide, and the Lord who created him was separated from him."
"And his lifestyle distanced him from the Lord." As a body sated without measure or moderation won't think of the Lord's Name, let not the love of excessive pleasures be found among you. Since a belly full without measure is like a boar or a wandering horse, let not immoderate eating, drinking, or adultery be found in you.
But a person who eats in moderation shall live strengthened by the Lord’s support; he shall be firm like the horizon or like a tower with a stone fence. A person who forgets the Lord’s Law shall flee even when no one is chasing him.
A kind person shall live in respect, like a lion.
But those who do not love the Lord won't keep His Law, and their reasoning is not straight.
The Lord shall bring sadness and alarm upon them while they are in this world—they will be seized with trembling and fright, and with countless tribulations. Their money will be snatched away, and they will be bound by their hands in chains by their masters...
...lest they be among those who rest from tribulation, and lest their lifestyle be one of joy. Lest they find rest during the alarming tribulations that come upon each of them, He shall bring sadness and alarm upon them.
