Didascalia

English translation: J. M. Harden, 1920 ('The Ethiopic Didascalia', Translations of Christian Literature, Series IV; SPCK, London / Macmillan, New York). Public domain. Translated from Ge'ez. Each chapter is rendered as a single verse: Harden's prose is discursive without intrinsic verse divisions, and the Apostolic Constitutions cross-reference markers he inserted in square brackets are stripped. Harden's Introduction and Additional Notes are not part of the Didascalia text proper and are omitted. The 1920 edition's two-column footnote layout produces some OCR artefacts (occasional manuscript-sigil fragments merged into body lines) that text-only cleanup could not fully remove.
